Mannaka no Rikkun Anime Reveals Cast, Staff, January 9 Premiere

The January issue of Kodansha's Morning magazine announced the staff, cast, and premiere date for the anime of Masahiro Totsuka's Mannaka no Rikkun (Rikkun in the Middle) manga on Thursday. The magazine's website posted a color visual of the characters.
The anime will air as part of TV Tokyo's KinderTV variety program beginning on January 9.
The cast includes:
- Yurina Watanabe as Riku
- Akiha Matsui as Mom
- Hiroaki Miura as Dad
- Nao Shiraki as Kū
- Tomomi Isomura as Una
- Tadanori Date as Narrator
- Nichika Omori as Mushroom God
- Masaaki Doi as Bamboo Shoot God
- Hinata Tadokoro as Mountain God
Akiko Seki, the director for the web anime based on Totsuka's Wagahai no Kare wa Baka de Aru, is directing the anime and writing the storyboards. Naoko Ikeuchi is designing the characters and serving as chief animation director. Takaaki Nakahashi is composing the music. Sakura Create is producing the anime. The theme song is "Mannaka no Kimi" (You in the Middle) by 1er Cru.

The "home comedy" centers on the mischievous boy Rikkun and his eccentric family. Totsuka (Bamboo Blade, Wagahai no Kare wa Baka de Aru) launched the manga in February 2017 and ended it in March. The manga has three compiled volumes.
