Japan Studio executive producer Yasutaka Asakura stated on the PlayStation Blog that the demo "is a short experience, and it is standalone; there are no larger versions of this project planned." The demo works with a DualShock 4 controller, but does require a PSVR headset and a PlayStation Camera to play.
Sony shipped original the PlayStation 4 game last December. SIE Japan Studio developed the game.
