Bandai Namco Entertainment America began streaming an English version of the Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker game's new trailer on Thursday and revealed that the game is slated for release in 2018. The video previews the game's online battle modes, and also previews playable characters such as Naruto, Kakashi, Pain, Sasuke, Itachi, Konan, Kisame, and Sakura.
The game will arrive in Japan on the PlayStation 4, and in the West on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Bandai Namco Entertainment America describes the game:
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is a high-speed four vs. four multiplayer title that encourages cooperative play through the use of character-specific roles. Characters are split up into four roles: Attack, Ranged, Defense, and Heal. Teams that utilize these four types of characters will be formidable opponents on the battlefield.
Soleil, a subsidiary of Valhalla Game Studios, is developing the game. Weekly Shonen Jump magazine describes the game as an "acrobatic ninja battle" game. The game will have an online component, and players can form four-person cells in multiplayer to fight against another four-person cell for a total of eight players.
