Producer Yoshihiro Nozaki Passes Away at 75

Anime producer Yoshihiro Nozaki passed away on Tuesday due to malignant lymphoma. He was 75.
Nozaki's family will hold a wake for him on January 19, and the burial will take place the following day. His second son Nobuharu will lead the wake, with wife Fueko as chief mourner.
Nozaki began his career at Mushi Production in 1963 as a production assistant, gathering production and reference materials during the production of such anime as Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion, Cleopatra, One Thousand and One Arabian Nights, and Moomin.
He also worked as production manager on Star Blazers, and then found work in Sunrise productions such as Combattler V, Daimos, Voltes V, Armored Trooper Votoms, and Cyborg 009.
He founded the editing and visual design company Shindosha in 1981, and was the chairman of its board of directors up until his death.
