Japanese Box Office, November 22-23

The live-action film adaptation of Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Akeji Fujimura's Kami-sama no Iu Toori (As the Gods Will) survival-horror manga fell from #1 to #3 in its second weekend. Takashi Miike (Ichi the Killer, Crows Zero) directed and Sōta Fukushi (live-action Library Wars/Toshokan Sensō) stars in the film about a high school class that must participate in survival games.
The first of two Attack on Titan compilation films, Shingeki no Kyojin Zenpen ~Guren no Yumiya~, opened this week at #6. The film compiles the first 13 episodes of the 2013 anime series based on Hajime Isayama's original manga. The new films will feature new dubbing and a 5.1ch remaster with returning voice cast members.
The live-action film of Toriko Chiya's Clover manga fell from #4 to #8 in its fourth week. The film stars Emi Takei (Rurouni Kenshin's Kaoru) as Saya, a young office lady (OL) who's never had a romantic relationship because she never gave up on a boy she liked in middle school. KANJANI Eight band member Tadayoshi Ōkura will costar as (Papadol!, Otenki-oneesan, Dr. DMAT) as Susumu, Saya's masochistic supervisor who confesses his love.
