Japanese Box Office, January 15-16

Live-action Yamato film, Inazuma Eleven, Kamen Rider, Ultraman dipped a few slots

The live-action adaptation of the science-fiction anime franchise Space Battleship Yamato dropped from #4 to #6 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's box office chart, but dropped to #8 on Box Office Mojo's chart. In its seventh weekend in theaters, the film made the equivalent of US$774,252 on 340 screens, bringing its total gross to US$46,657,500.

The soccer videogame-based anime film Inazuma Eleven: Saikyō Gundan Ogre Shūrai also dropped from #5 to #7 in its fourth weekend. It earned US$777,668 on 229 screens for a gross-to-date of US$19,613,084.

Ryūta Tasaki's Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider: OOO & W feat. Skull: Movie Taisen Core fell from #7 to #9 in its fifth weekend on Kogyo Tsushinsha's chart. According to Box Office Mojo, it earned US$483,062 on 272 screens to add to its total of US$16,016,338.

The Ultraman Zero the Movie Chō Kessen! Belial Ginga Teikoku slipped from #13 to #15 on Box Office Mojo's chart in its fourth weekend in theaters. It garnered US$198,033 on 170 screens for a total of US$4,295,855.
