UPDATE: 'Fatespain' Countdown Site Not Associated With Aniplex of America, Lacks F/GO Copyright

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Update 06/25/2019: ANN has received reports that this website may be a hoax. Aniplex of America confirmed with Anime News Network that the website "www.fatespain.com" is not associated with the company. The website also lacks the Fate/Grand Order copyright information. Fans have pointed out that the domain does not match the styling of other official Fate/Grand Order sites.

Thanks to @RainAnnen and @DelusionParadox for the news tip.

Anime News Network's previous article on the website with corrections is shown below.

A countdown website opened at the internet address "www.fatespain.com". The countdown currently has five and a half days left.

The text on the website is in Spanish and a command seal is shown against a black background. The command seal is the one used for the Male Protagonist in the Fate/Grand Order mobile game.

Fate/Grand Order was the top-grossing app in Japan in the first quarter of 2019, according to data analysis organization Sensor Tower's estimates. The game earned more than US$190 million in the first three months of 2019.

Fate/Grand Order launched in Japan in the summer of 2015 followed by releases in the U.S., Canada, Korea, China, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Australia.
