posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The original Hoshi no Kirby (Kirby's Dream Land) game for Game Boy debuted in 1992, and this year marks the franchise's 25th anniversary. The round, pink hero has enchanted fans ever since by gulping down enemies, bouncing around in a pinball machine, wearing empowered hats, and finally going 3D in 2001. Take a look at the many faces of Kirby in this official 25th anniversary video.
A new Kirby title is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2018. Nintendo released Team Kirby Clash Deluxe on April 12 for Nintendo 3DS. The game is free-to-start and is available for download on the Nintendo eShop.
Nintendo also announced two more Kirby games for the Nintendo 3DS in April. The first, Kirby's Blowout Blast, was released on July 6. The second game is an untitled multiplayer action game that will ship this winter, however the above video makes no mention of it.
