Monster Hunter XX's Felyne Companion Gets Sketchy Makeover
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Hiroshi Takahashi's popular Crows and Worst manga series follow delinquent school boys with yankee haircuts that try to establish dominance in their hard-knock schools. The series have inspired multiple live-action adaptations, video games, and crossover campaigns. The latest is with Monster Hunter XX Nintendo 3DS game, a title that isn't even out yet but is already doubling down on weird campaigns.
The Worst campaign will introduce manga character Tesshō Kawachi, the charismatic and violent member of The Front of Armament motorcycle gang. The character won't be appearing in his human form. Instead, his design will be used to create downloadable armor for the protagonist's Ailu (Felyne) companion.
The game will also collaborate with Weekly Shōnen Champion manga Baki-Dou to include Felyne companion armor that will transform him into Retsu Kaioh, a master of Chinese Kung-fu.
The game also announced collaborations with Fire Emblem, Ghosts 'n Goblins, Universal Studios Japan, the Otomon Drop Monster Hunter Stories mobile game, Dengeki, Famitsu and Weekly Shonen Jump magazines, Grandpa Danger manga, Show By Rock!!, and Kingdom.
