Megumi Hayashibara Dons Mash-Up Dress in Honor of All Her Previous Work
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
If any Japanese voice actress has achieved household name status in the U.S., it's Megumi Hayashibara. Starting in 1986, Hayashibara has voiced fan-favorite characters like Faye Valentine in Cowboy Bebop, female Ranma in Ranma 1/2, Hello Kitty in her television incarnations, Lina Inverse in The Slayers, Lime in Saber Marionette J, Rei Ayanami in Neon Genesis Evangelion, the list goes on.
She's also had more than her share of musical hits with her albums, many charting in the Top 10. Her upcoming three-disc greatest hit album "Time Capsule" is a homage to Hayashibara's musical career with the singer donning a dress featuring images from her previous characters and work.
A few of references we spotted are:
- "Piyo!" (Piyoko-chan/Di Gi Charat)
- Her boots (Tiramisu/Sorceror Hunters)
- Panda (Ranma 1/2)
- Pink bows (Hello Kitty)
Which ones do you spot? Let us know in the forums!
"Time Capsule" goes on sale on June 17.
