Always Overlooked Rating Comment
Blue Comet SPT Layzner (TV) Excellent So far the best Real robot anime series I've seen but I have no chance of seeing it all the way through. I could have if Sunrise wouldn't have given Bandai America bad prints and on top of that refused to replace them. Honestly I could get into how I think the Japanese are ethnocentric but I'm not. All's I know is that Bandai America was the only chance this series ever had and now it'll tragically fade away because it's too old.
Dragon Ball (TV) Good (dub), Excellent (sub) Always overshadowed by it's 'Z' series sequel because it's viewed as boring and "lacking". Honestly Dragonball is a whole lot better than Dragonball Z in many aspects. "Z's" still cool but it lacks way too much in comparison to Dragonball.
Fist of the North Star (TV) Excellent If only a liscening company would give this a chance. I doubt people would buy it though. The art style will indefinitlty turn people off since it was made in the mid 80's. The thing is, this was a good series. It's the pioneer in how Shounen anime should be made and at the same time it does not even follow the "rules" of Shounen-esque anime either. The, Fight bad guy, Another bad guy comes around but he's OMG stronger." It does none of that. Unfortnatly this series will never get the recognition that it deserves. And that's a sad thing when Ikkitousen can get licensed only because it looked new.
Fist of the North Star (movie) Very good (Comment same as Fist of the North Star TV)
Fist of the North Star 2 (TV) Excellent
Mobile Suit Gundam (TV) Very good (dub), Excellent (raw) The first gundam series. It seriously beats out the content in newer gundam series and it actually has a cast of characters that are realistic. MSG is respected but it's losing out to newer gundam series that have no point to them (Gundam Wing), and direct ripoffs (Gundam SEED).
(The) Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? (movie) Masterpiece Too bad thanks to the damn Robotech this movie will never be released uncut in its original format outside of the Japan, thus not many people will ever even know of it's existence.
